Terms & Policies

By downloading, installing, or using HiveAmp (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Updates to these Terms take effect upon your continued use of the App. These Terms apply to all users including community members, admins, and moderators.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use HiveAmp. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years old
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You are not prohibited from using the App under applicable law
• You have not previously been banned from HiveAmp

Account Creation: Sign up with Apple Sign-In or email. You must provide accurate information.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Report suspected unauthorized access to support@hiveamp.com.

Usernames: Must be unique. May not impersonate others, use trademarked terms, or contain offensive material. HiveAmp reserves the right to modify usernames that violate these rules.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Send unsolicited spam or commercial messages
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Distribute malware or attempt to access systems without authorization
• Scrape or data-mine HiveAmp content without permission
• Post illegal content of any kind
• Engage in self-messaging or fake endorsement schemes

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you post, including asks, solutions, messages, and profile information. By posting, you grant HiveAmp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content to operate and improve the App.

Content Standards: Content must be accurate, lawful, and respectful. You assume responsibility for content you post. HiveAmp does not pre-screen content but reserves the right to remove it.

Community admins and moderators must enforce these Terms fairly, avoid abusing their privileges, maintain professionalism, and remove violating content. HiveAmp may remove communities or revoke privileges for violations.

HiveAmp does not verify user identity or professional credentials. Reputation scores and badges are algorithmic and informational only. HiveAmp is not liable for outcomes resulting from user-generated advice, referrals, or interactions.

HiveAmp and its licensors own all rights to the App, including software, design, trademarks, and non-user content. Reproduction or modification of App materials requires express written permission.

HiveAmp may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations, fraudulent activity, or service discontinuation. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except where immediate action is required.

HiveAmp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding uninterrupted service, error-free operation, the accuracy of user content, or the quality of advice or referrals received through the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HiveAmp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Total liability is capped at amounts paid in the preceding twelve months.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Rules, rather than in court. You and HiveAmp agree that claims may only be brought in an individual capacity — not as a class action.

Emergency injunctive relief and small claims court actions remain exempt. Contact legal@hiveamp.com for arbitration inquiries.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HiveAmp, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims arising out of: your use of the App, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

Delaware law governs these Terms. Non-arbitration disputes are subject to Delaware courts. Legal inquiries: legal@hiveamp.com

Information You Provide:

• Account details: name, email, username, profile photo
• Profile content: bio, experience, skills, interests
• User Content: asks, solutions, messages, community activity

Collected Automatically:

• Usage data: features accessed, asks viewed, endorsements made
• Device information: type, OS version, app version
• Analytics: crash reports and performance metrics via Firebase

We use your data to provide and improve the service, match you with relevant communities and asks, send opted-in notifications, respond to support requests, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.

Your profile, asks, and reputation are visible to members of communities you join. Direct messages are private between participants. Firebase (Google) and trusted service providers may process your data under contractual data protection obligations. We may disclose data when required by law.

We retain your data while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time through the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Certain data may be retained for legal or regulatory purposes. Backup copies are removed shortly after deletion.

We use TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, Firebase Security Rules for access control, regular security reviews, and limited employee access. Report vulnerabilities to security@hiveamp.com.

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update your profile information in-app
• Deletion: Delete your account via Settings → Account → Delete Account
• Portability: Request a data export
• Opt-out: Manage notifications in Settings → Notifications
