🚀 Getting Started

HiveAmp is a gamified professional networking platform where you post “asks” — specific requests for advice, connections, resources, collaboration, feedback, or referrals — inside exclusive professional communities. Experts endorse your asks, opening direct messages so help happens fast.
Download HiveAmp from the App Store and follow the onboarding flow. Sign in with Apple or email, build your profile, select interests, and join your first communities — under 5 minutes total.
Yes. Joining communities, posting asks, and endorsing others are all free. We may introduce premium features in the future and will always notify you before any charges apply.
HiveAmp is currently available on iOS (iPhone and iPad). Android and web versions are on our roadmap.

🏠 Communities

Browse from the Discover tab. Public communities can be joined directly. Private or invite-only communities require a request or an invitation link from an existing member or administrator.
Yes — tap “+” in the Communities tab. Set the name, description, visibility (public or private), and invite requirements. As creator, you become the community admin.
Admins have full control over settings, membership, and can appoint moderators. Moderators manage day-to-day activity — removing inappropriate asks and managing members — but cannot change core community settings.
Admins can limit how many asks a member can post within a given time window. This keeps the community feed high-signal and prevents spam.

Tap “+” from any community feed. Choose your ask type, write a clear title and description, add tags, set an expiry date, and post. The more specific your ask, the better responses you’ll get.
You get a notification. The endorser signals their intent (“Solved it,” “Can introduce,” “Have resources,” etc.) and a direct message thread opens between you. Endorsers also earn reputation.
Yes — open your ask and tap “Mark as Solved.” You can highlight the specific response that helped most and it becomes part of the community’s solutions knowledge base.
Yes. When you post an ask you set an expiry date. Expired asks are automatically closed and moved to your profile’s archive, keeping community feeds fresh.

🏅 Reputation & Badges

By helping others — endorsing asks, providing solutions that get marked helpful, staying active in communities. The more your contributions are valued, the faster your reputation grows.
🌿 Newcomer → ⚡ Helper → 🔥 Contributor → 💎 Expert → 🚀 Champion → 👑 Legend. Each tier builds your credibility signal within the Hive.
Badges are earned by hitting milestones — first ask, solving N asks, making connections, building a community, and more. They appear on your profile and add to your professional story.

💬 Messaging

When someone endorses your ask, a direct message thread is automatically created between you. You can also start DMs from any user’s profile.
Yes. From a user’s profile, tap “…” and select “Block User.” Blocked users can’t see your profile, asks, or message you. Manage blocked users in Settings → Privacy.
Yes. Start a group conversation from your messages inbox by tapping the compose icon and selecting multiple participants.

👤 Account & Settings

Go to your Profile tab and tap “Edit Profile.” Update your name, username, bio, professional experience, skills, and interests.
Settings → Account → Delete Account. This is permanent and removes all your data including asks, messages, and reputation. Confirmation required.
Notifications for: new endorsements, direct messages, community invites, ask expiry reminders, badge unlocks, reputation milestones, and more. Customize in Settings → Notifications.

🔒 Privacy & Safety

By default, members of communities you share. Adjust in Settings → Privacy to control exactly what’s visible.
Tap “…” on any ask, message, or profile and select “Report.” Our moderation team reviews all reports. You can also email support@hiveamp.com.
